The Matthew 6:33 Young Adults Group!

Our theme is Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

This is the young adults group in our church. We minister weekly at the University of Cocody, so many of the students attend our church services. We will be studying subjects which have application to the young adult and single person.

For our first meeting with the young adults we had over thirty people join us. They were all very excited to hear about some of the subjects we will be studying and discussing. One young man said he was going to tell all his friends about the group because the subjects covered will encourage and bless them.

The first meeting was an overview of the subjects we will be looking into for the next four to six months. The group meets on two week intervals.

Pray for this dynamic group of young people. God can make mighty warriors of these wonderful disciples if they will allow the Holy Spirit to empower and guide them.

Here is a sample of the subjects to be covered:

• Early mistakes and errors in judgments in life can undermine all that follows.
• Everyone encounters trouble on the path of life.
• Between the ages of 16 and 26 you will make decisions which will change your direction in life forever.
• World cultures no longer support a traditional Biblical view of morality.
• The pressure to conform to someone else’s standards.
• The pain of rejection.
• Whatever you want, Satan will tell you, you can have it.
• The lifelong quest for power.
• How can I deal with my own insecurities?
• Choosing a profession.
• Choosing a mate for life.
• How can we find God’s will for our lives?
